Each month, All Scout Collectives receive a theme for their collective along with programming for a once weekly, two hour meeting. Check out a sample below.

JUNE activities - food & you

Week One: Ever wondered how some of your favorite treats are made? Learn all about the science of food while baking gluten free bread with a local Bremerton baker in a real life bakery! Scouts should bring clothes they don’t mind getting dirty, a reusable bottle for water. and a hungry tummy. (Parents - please alert your All Scout leaders of any food allergies ASAP)

Week Two: Spring has sprung! Learn all about how the environment we live in sustains the food we need when we visit an organic farm in Port Orchard! We’ll visit with the local farmers, check out their organic gardens, and even get the chance to meet a few farm animals! Scouts should bring clothes they don’t mind getting dirty and a reusable bottle for water.

Week Three: Food, aside from being tasty, provides the nutrients we need to play and grow. Our collective will be meeting with a local nutritionist to learn all about how the food we eat fuels our bodies. We'll make a healthy dinner to share and then use that fuel for some outside play! Scouts should bring clothes they don’t mind getting dirty and a reusable bottle for water.

Week Four: We’ve learned all about food this month! In this meeting, we’ll challenge our Scouts to create a handmade recipe book for their family full of their own favorite healthy foods. Scouts should bring clothes they don’t mind getting dirty and a reusable bottle for water.
